Startup Humboldt is a coworking space, SBDC advising hub, and community platform for entrepreneurs in Northern California's most independent county. We built the brand and website to attract founders who think different about where great companies can start.
The platform at startuphumboldt.org serves as the digital front door for the region's startup ecosystem.
The Problem
Rural doesn't mean small-time.
Humboldt County has founders, energy, and ideas. What it didn't have was a credible digital presence that could compete with Bay Area accelerator branding. The space needed to feel professional without losing the independent, maker-driven spirit of the region.
The Approach
Professional infrastructure, local soul.
We built a brand that signals real business support without corporate sterility. The website handles coworking bookings, event listings, SBDC advising schedules, and community resources. Every element was designed to make a founder in Arcata feel as supported as one in San Francisco.
